Trial Plot Updates 2019
Our extensive varietal plots presented by Syngenta and Wynnstay this year include winter cereals, oilseed rape and cover crops.
Winter Barley - March 2019
- Plots looking very healthy after 2nd dose of N, looking very clean with some old mildew surviving on susceptible varieties and odd brown rust pustule on hybrids. Leaf 4 fully emerged and leaf 3 starting to emerge on main tiller – T0 sprays applied
Winter wheat - MArch 2019
- Plots looking good with first N applied this week which will get the plots growing up to T0 spray timing in 10-14 days time. Disease currently on L5 very little difference between varieties with all carrying similar levels
- T0 application in early drilled wheat likely first week of April
Triticale - March 2019
Two plots of triticale – very vigorous growth.
