Arable Event


The Arable Event returns on June 18th at Woodlands Farm, part of Bradford Estates in Weston Under Lizard on the Shropshire-Staffordshire border.

The Arable Event is the place to share knowledge and expertise, view extensive trial plantings and get hands-on experience of the latest farm machinery.

Trial plots, grown by Wynnstay, will include winter and spring cereals and cover crops with regular tours on the day from specialists.

There will be demonstrations of the latest working farm machinery and a free moisture meter clinic run by Sinar Technology. Those attending the event will collect BASIS and NroSO points.

The Arable Event runs from 9am to 5pm with free refreshments, a programme and free goody bag for visitors. Register for free entry which includes fast track entry and a free prize draw. 

This event is organised by Wynnstay and GrainLink to provide valuable information to our Arable farmers for the upcoming harvest and drilling season. We welcome all farmers to this event and it is one not to miss:

This year welcomes back The Arable Event to our Woodlands Farm in Weston Under Lizard on the 18th June 2025. Now into its 11th year, the event has always been a popular day our for farmers and our local community, with over 1500 visitors and exhibitors in attendance.

Woodlands Farm is part of Bradford Estates and is operated by Bradford Farming LLP. Their ambition is to establish the largest regenerative farm in the West Midlands, with a vision to create a market leading agribusiness that focusses on sustainable farming systems. We also aim to become a centre of farming excellence, to help advance the understanding of these sustainable farming systems and practices.

The Arable Event is held on land that is mainly light sandy soils with a little body. The soils at Bradford Farming are a mixture of Grade 2 and 3 medium/heavy loams.

Cereals at The Arable Event will be grown by Wynnstay under the watchful eye of the team.
